This being said if we don't meet our milestones we will not advance the project to full release. We have been through a closed alpha testing stage and are fully aware of the risks of development and the delays that come with it. A note to keep in consideration is that we were funded via Kickstarter in 2015 and have been working on this game since late 2014.
If an estimate is needed for an official timeline, an expectation of 2-3 months adding additional code and content would be around the expected period to remain in Early Access. Due to the nature of Early access and the flexibility it gives us we would be hesitant to move to "Full Release" until we are satisfied and have verified that all features have been added successfully and function at a high level.
“The goal would be to remain in Early Access until all additional features have been implemented and well tested. It's essential to us that we remain transparent with anyone interested in the game.”Īpproximately how long will this game be in Early Access? This gives us the flexibility of being able to add more to our game while also being very clear and consistent with our community about the state of the game. We feel that since we are still adding additional side features, we can't classify the game as a "finished product." It's with this in mind that we feel Early Access is the ideal title for us moving forward. What we found is that with additional features we add to our build, our code becomes more complicated and bugs arise from that new code. Just a warning.“We have been working on Mesozoica as a project for the past three years. But by then, it might even be better to wait for Evolution.
This sucks to write but don't buy this game :/ It will get better in time. All positive reviews are people forgiving the game because it's in early access, not actually people talking about its great content or performance. Nearly everyone on the Steam community is having a similar experience. Mine froze 3 times in 15 minutes randomly, and also locked up when I tried to open the dig site world map. Speaking of glitches and bugs, the game also tends to freeze a lot. They basically have no AI, and their animations often freeze or glitch in other ways. There are only 14 dinosaurs :/ And they are buggy. And to make all of that worse, there is no tutorial, only a very unhelpful help menu that tries to teach you the basics. The building system is confusing, does not function well, and the buildings don't look very good.
There is basically no park management at all. In its current state, it's hardly a game. I was really excited for Mesozoica to be a great game that filled in the time between now and the release of JW: Evolution, but I am very sad to say that it isn't. Breaking this rule will result in an immediate and permanent ban
Do not discuss pirating the game, do not ask for how to pirate the game. Fanart is permitted if it modeled after dinosaurs found within the game. Non-JWE should be posted in the appropriate subreddits (see related subreddits below).
