Not only does it reduce felt recoil but it also has a ribbed texture which seems to give me better grip when firing.The front of the grips have almost a grip tape feel which accomodates my pinky, ring, and middle finger unlike the factory Taurus boot which leaves you pinky hanging in the wind. But these grips seem to be set back a little further than normal grips making it easier for me to control trigger pulls. I have long fingers which made it somewhat of a challenge shooting such a small pistol. 357 magnum loads was devastating to my hand. After that I bought the Hogue grips which were good for grip but with no backstrap shooting. When I got my 605 it had small wood grips which were great for concealment but were terrible for shooting. This is the third time changing out my grips. These ATI grips are the best grips out there.
